بسياری از CD/DVD های نرم افزاری پس از نصب برای خوانده شدن به CD/DVD اصلی خود نياز دارند و تا اونها در CD/DVD-Rom قرار نگيرند نرم افزار نميتونه به طور کامل خونده بشه. اين کار مشکلاتی رو با خود به همراه داره که ميشه به آسيب رسيدن به CD/DVD-Rom و پايين آمدن محسوس سرعت Read اشاره کرد چون اکثر فايلهای مهم بايد از روی CD خوانده شود. در بازيهاي رايانه ای گرافيکی که يکی از اين نمونه نرم افزارها هستند اين موضوع دردسر ساز خواهد شد.
